Resin JackAboutGeca

Jack’s introduction to Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) came in 2004 when his company – then called National Maintenance Products Pty Ltd – became the first industrial coatings manufacturer in Australia to be certified under their ISO 14020 eco-labelling program.

What started out as general feedback on the program gradually turned into more formal involvement. In May 2008, he was invited onto the board of directors where he took a role on the finance committee, before serving as chair of the board for over 12 months until completing his standard three year term.

In his time at GECA, Jack’s ability to challenge traditional thinking led to major changes that enabled the organisation to re-set operations and achieve financial stability. He also played a vital role in establishing succession plans for the CEO and other board members to ensure continuity and long-term viability.
