Not all metallic floors are equal

I first started formulating customised decorative resins specifically for the metallic floor market back in 2007, so over the past 13 years I have been a part of 1000's of metallic floors. I continue to believe that we are still just at the tip of the iceberg of what we can achieve with resin flooring but only if we find ways to stop the poor practices that undermine the industry.

As an example, I was  sent a couple of photos of a metallic floor. I don't know who installed the floor. Apart from the floor looking ordinary, when you look at it closely you can see that the floor is wrinkled from uncured resins underneath the topcoat.

The good news is that we have come along way and there are manufacturers and installers that respect the challenges of metallic floors to create truly spectacular floors. Floors that make you feel proud of the resin flooring industry. Floors that demonstrate how resin flooring can sit alongside other traditional flooring finishes whether in the home or commercial premises.

If you want to learn the art of metallic flooring, you need to stop looking at promotional videos that make it "look easy" and start to deep dive into best practices, learn the theory behind the process and then practice your skills in a controlled environment until you are ready to do your first paid metallic floor.

If you feel I can help then do not hesitate to ask.

Take Care and Keep smiling
